UPDATE-6 of Climate Watch Advisory - drought situation with above-normal temperature

An update of Climate Watch Advisory was issued by the WMO  RCC for central Europe (including France, the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, Germany, Poland, Czech Republic, Portugal and Spain) about drought situation with above-normal temperatures that will continue for 1 more week (further prolongation might be possible) :

A continuation of the drought situation with above normal temperatures for the next two weeks for central Europe is expected. The probability is locally more than 70% that precipitation will be below the lower tercile. The weekly temperature anomalies are forecasted with +3°C to +6°C and a probability of more than 90%. For Iberia the temperature can exceed the 35°C on several days.
This drought may be accompanied by water scarcity, low river levels, local thunderstorms, risks of wildfires and harvest losses since soil moisture is reduced.
